Girl suffers brain damage when impaled by sawed off golf club

When you send your child to school, you believe that he or she will be kept safe. Even when he or she is participating in gym class or other physical activities, you assume that the teachers and educators will be taking steps to make sure the environment is safe and that your child is cared for appropriately.

When hazards aren't removed from an area or teachers are unaware of potential dangers, students can get hurt and their parents have to look for answers. That's what happened in this case of a teen whose head was impaled while she was in gym class.

According to the news from June 2, the teen has suffered severe injuries and may lead a life of complications due to the injury. The 14-year-old girl suffered a severe brain injury when she tripped over a low-lying wire on the Ford Test Track. That wire was attached to sawed-off golf clubs that were forming a kind of fencing around new white lines that had been painted by the city.

Unfortunately, when the girl fell onto the golf clubs, the blunt end of the shaft impaled her skull and went into her brain. Her extensive injuries, which include swelling and trauma to the brain, could mean she'll suffer from long-term injuries. It's expected that she may suffer from paralysis and memory issues, at least in some manner. Her family has said that they may file a lawsuit, because they want to know why the golf clubs were left unattended on the school's field. They are currently looking for witnesses to find out exactly what happened when their daughter tripped and to find out more about the city staff and set up they had created.
